Vivayic Talent:

Taylor Slate

Learning Designer

“For me, working with Vivayic means I am part of a team that strives every day to do good in the world. I am surrounded by people who simply enjoy doing what they do. We always put our clients first and are determined to find the best solutions to fit their needs.”

You might think you’re a self-sufficient person, but then you’ll meet someone like Taylor who expands your understanding of the term. For example, when she was in middle school, she earned the opportunity to play on a club softball team that would travel to tournaments across the mid-Atlantic region. The problem was that she didn’t have a way to get to practices on weekday evenings. Her coach made her a deal — if she worked hard on her skills at home and came to the first tournament game-ready, then she could continue playing on the team for the season. Taylor was more than game-ready — she was the star that day. She worked in her backyard for hours on end modifying drills, so she could play the sport she loved. As a learning designer for Vivayic, that same tenacity and self-sufficiency help her solve challenges big and small in developing the e-learning courses our clients need to reach their learners.

Taylor also loves taking care of people and details which makes her a valued teammate. Often, team members discover that Taylor has resolved an unexpected issue before anyone else knew it existed. She delights in being useful and supportive.

For someone that prides herself on being self-sufficient, she is extremely generous in helping others develop. After playing softball for Richard Bland and Roanoke Colleges, she was a volunteer coach for a local junior college team where you’d find her with her signature (and lucky) blue nail polish coaching her athletes on the details needed to be successful. She is now calling Lincoln, Nebraska home.
