“I love that the work we do is innovative and practical at the same time. I’m confident that what we put out is usable and fits the needs of the learner.”
Cara has strong roots in agriculture and in education. Growing up on a family farm in DeWitt, Nebraska, her upbringing has given her the skills necessary to be a valuable member of the Viviyac team.
Cara listens, analyzes, and then shares. When she does, be ready because her ideas will wow you. While working as a Program Assistant for Citizenship Washington Focus and as a Leadership Development Trainer for the Washington Leadership Conference, Cara discovered how much she enjoyed that type of alternative education, and it also reaffirmed her belief that she always wanted to be involved in the field.
Not only does Cara have her master’s degree in Secondary Education Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University, she also has in-the-classroom experience after teaching agriculture education for eight years in northwest Missouri. Although she thoroughly enjoyed her time as a classroom teacher, she especially loves being on the other side of things — creating the materials people use to teach. Cara’s specialty for Vivayic is writing curriculum and training materials that are innovative, brilliantly thought-out, and user-friendly.
Cara’s gone from growing up on the family farm in Nebraska to Missouri and back again for the good life with husband, Garrett, and their four kids. When not home enjoying life on the farm, crafting, or sewing, Cara can be found with her crew on the ball field, visiting family in Missouri, antiquing, or having fun on new family adventures.
