Carrie Derner, Director - Educational Products

A conservationist honors the value of resources from paper to wood and water. When you meet Carrie, you meet someone who values words, ideas and time with others. Carrie is genuine to the core. She says what she means and means what she says. When seated in a room, Carrie can be silent all the while, but in an instant – she synthesizes and verbalizes just the answer we need. Creative to the core, Carrie cares about her work and her family - including her son Rece - and will take the time to get to know you as an individual.

This addition to the Vivayic team who hails from the Pacific Northwest, Carrie graduated cum laude from Washington State University. A former high school biology teacher and now instructional designer for Vivayic, Carrie’s classroom experience brings insights into the real day to day life of a teacher. Her greatest passion is for how people learn and she is currently pursuing a Masters of Education in Educational Psychology – what she loves most about Vivayic is the chance to put her creativity into action.

With more than three years of experience in training and facilitating; and several more years experience writing curriculum, Carrie’s passion for leading others in learning is solid.
