Angela Mayfield, Learning Designer
 Warm. Welcomed. Included. Those words describe the way you’ll feel when you sit down to talk with Angela. You may not get to sit long, though, because Angela doesn’t sit still. She’s always on the move.
Angela’s passions are numerous: camping, reading, gardening, running, baking. Her greatest passion, though, centers on helping others. Whether running after-school programs for Spanish-speaking students or doing little things for members of her family, Angela acts on her caring instincts.
That caring spirit is part of what makes her such an incredible instructional designer at Vivayic. She thinks deeply about the needs of learners and educators, and works to meet those needs in creative ways. "When I design curriculum or educational materials, I look at it like a puzzle. Here’s this piece of information, and I’ve got to put it in a format where teachers can use it easily and students will devour it."
A former high school agriculture instructor, Angela has more than nine years of experience creating science-based and leadership educational materials, working as a motivational speaker, and delivering team-building workshops.
Angela received her bachelor’s degree in agriculture science and education, with a minor in Spanish, from Chico State University.
A California native, Angela is excited to be living in Sacramento now with her husband Josiah and her daughter Reagan. That places her only an hour from the foothills of the Sierra Nevada and her large, extended family – both sides of which have lived in the same area since 1849.
